Scripps Mercy Hospital Sacred Art Mural Restoration – Ken & Stephanie Goldman
We were commissioned to repaint the thirty-five-foot wall that forms the backdrop to the seven-foot wooden carving of Jesus Christ, revitalizing the lobby with a renewed sense of reverence and splendor as the sculpture reclaims its place of glory within the newly remodeled space. Because this work took place in an active hospital environment, we could not use spray equipment and instead used specialized coatings and sponge rollers, working at night while the lobby was closed to complete the project with minimal disruption. The renewed backdrop beautifully complements the work we completed thirty years ago in the hospital’s chapel, creating a harmonious continuity of artistry and devotion across generations.
