Portraiture: Facing Features Head On

Course Overview:

In this class, using a new model each week, we will focus on learning how to construct a portrait or full figure, with special attention to each of the five main features of the head: eyes, nose, mouth, ears, and neck. Beginners are encouraged to work in pencil or charcoal, while those with more experience may work in other mediums, such as watercolor, acrylics, or oils. After each pose is set, Stephanie will do a quick demonstration of a different feature for the first five weeks. You are free to watch or work and listen. All levels are welcome, as instruction is given on an individual basis.

Course Materials:

You do not need to buy everything on this list. Only buy materials that relate to the medium you plan to work with, or bring your own basic supplies.
